OMG OMG It's Shark Week!

You can't get the ominous Jaws theme music out of your head and you're dreaming about being trapped in a submerged cage while a Great White slowly swims nearer. That's right; it's Discovery Channel Shark Week!
Shark Week officially began yesterday, August 1, and it continues with whole days almost completely packed with shark programming until Sunday, August 8. We're looking forward to shows like "Shark Attack Survival Guide," "Ultimate Air Jaws" and "Dirty Jobs: Greenland Shark Quest."
It only happens every so often, but when it does you've a viable excuse for staying in to watch TV on a beautiful summer's day. Shark Week appeals to everyone's need to be thrilled, chilled and see blood spilled, not to mention indulging an inherent fear of monsters. Shark Week is also a prime time for armchair traveling to some of the most beautiful ocean locations in the world, all the while staying safely thousands of miles away from the sharp-toothed predators.
Check out the Discovery Channel's daily TV schedules here, their official Shark Week page with games and additional videos here, and perhaps pour one of these Shark Week cocktails to speed all that armchair travel.
