Dharun Ravi Linked to Fellow Student Tyler Clementis' Suicide

Rutgers University student 18 year old Tyler Clementi took his own life on September 23 after his roommate Dharun Ravi broadcast hidden camera footage from their dorm of Clementi engaging in sexual activity with anther man. Clementis' car and belongings were found near the GeorgeGeorge Washington Bridge which he is believed to have jumped from. The footage was reportedly taken on September 19th and broadcast via Ravi's Twitter account. Ravi also tweeted about how he had set up the hidden camera after Clementi had asked for some privacy that night before heading to Molly Wei's room to view what they were recording. Most feel that Clementi took his own life after not being able to cope with the shame that the videos had caused him.

Dharun Ravi and accomplice Molly Wei who are both 18, are being charged with two counts of invasion of privacy and Ravi has recieved two additional counts for allegedly trying to film Clementi again on September 21st. In the state of New Jersey, charges including the collection or viewing of images of nudity and sexual content of an individual without their consent are fourth

degree crimes. Distributing said images bumps such charges up to third degree offenses. Ravi and Wei both surrendered themselves to Rutgers University police after Clementis' suicide. Wei was released Monday, September 27 under a recognizance to the state of New Jersey and Ravi the next day on a $25,000 bail. Both teens could possibly face up to five years in jail if convicted.

CNN accuses James O’Keefe of bizarre prank

There’s no way to summarize this story. It’s simply too detailed and too weird, so take the time to either watch the clip below at Mediaite or read CNN’s write-up (and Boudreau’s blog post) about what went down. Here’s my best try: She says she was invited to meet O’Keefe to talk about a documentary on young conservatives that CNN was making. One of his colleagues allegedly approached her when she arrived and told her that it was a set-up, that she was going to be invited onto a boat and then pranked by O’Keefe hitting on her during their chat while hidden video cameras rolled. Boudreau decided to leave, and then O’Keefe’s colleague e-mailed her a series of e-mails and a “script” for the prank showing that the boat was set up to be an over-the-top “palace of pleasure” replete with strawberries, champagne, a “condom jar,” fuzzy handcuffs, and, er, sex toys. (In the clip, Boudreau claims that some parts of the document are so explicit that they can’t reveal all of it.) The idea, supposedly, was to embarrass Boudreau as retaliation for the embarrassment that young conservatives would suffer from CNN’s sure-to-be-unfair documentary.

When CNN asked O’Keefe if the

As you’ll see in the clip, Boudreau doesn’t believe him. And, as Tommy Christopher notes, she adds a new detail about the script: Apparently it raised the prospect of her being reduced to tears and asking to be let off the boat, which, if true, turns this from a phony seduction into something else altogether. Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center says the prank was “ugly, dishonest and filthy,” and  at Red State calls it “sick” and salutes O’Keefe’s colleague for tipping her off before it happened. I was hoping O’Keefe would respond at length to CNN somewhere online tonight, but presumably that’ll come later this week. What I can’t quite grasp is how, if he and his team really did intend to follow the script and film Boudreau on the boat with sex toys scattered around, they could have conceivably released the resulting video and thought people would like it. That may be their best defense, actually — that no one seriously could have thought this was a good idea and that the script was just a raunchy joke being circulated among the team, never meant to be implemented. (The other defense, presumably, will be that the colleague who tipped off Boudreau is lying.) In any case, you’re now up to speed. We’ll hear O’Keefe’s side of it soon enough, I’m sure. Ryder Cup TV schedule 2010: ESPN and NBC

The Ryder Cup TV schedule 2010 is coming shortly. Starting on Friday morning, the Ryder Cup TV schedule 2010 will be exclusive to ESPN and NBC, as the Ryder Cup ceremonies begin in Wales. Of course, since this year’s

contest between the United States and England is on Britain’s home turf, the action will start very early in America. In fact, ESPN is starting their live coverage at 2:30 am est on Friday, October 1. But eventually, the Ryder Cup TV schedule 2010 will be held in later hours, and it will all be live.

ESPN will get an early head start on the proceedings, with the action starting at 2:30 am on Friday morning in Wales. But fans on the East Coast will still get to see some matches, as coverage continues on until 1 pm est.

This kind of early Ryder Cup TV schedule 2010 is not unfamiliar, since the British Open also started in the wee hours on ESPN this summer. However, ESPN had exclusive British Open coverage the whole way through, but they do not have it in this case.

On the weekend, NBC will take over the Ryder Cup TV schedule 2010, and will start off in later hours. Saturday’s Day 2 matches will begin at 8 am, and carry on until 6 pm. For those who missed anything, ESPN Classic will reair NBC’s coverage, starting at 7:30 pm.

NBC will also cover the final day live, with the competition still expected to be in question by then. The Ryder Cup TV schedule 2010 concludes with Day 3 matches from 7 am to 1 pm on Sunday. However, if things are still not settled by 1 pm, NBC will obviously have to extend coverage.

Audience Loses First Brown/Whitman Debate

A viewing party of east L.A.County Democrats enjoyed watching former California governor Jerry Brown outmaneuver former eBay official Meg Whitman in the first California gubernatorial debate.

The gang at Russ Warner headquarters in Claremont got plenty of applause lines from Brown, who presented as smoother, better informed and -- in his peculiar, dry, pleasure-sucking way -- more energetic than Republican Whitman. (Warner, the host of this TV party, is running for Congressman in the Golden State's 26th district, a seat being defended by David Dreier.)

Whitman's best punch of the night came when she charged Brown with running away from his own record as the "education mayor" of Oakland. In the same flurry she also scored a glancing blow against Brown's opposition to Proposition 13, the state's landmark property tax limitation.

Other than that, it was Brown's night. It goes without saying that Jerry Brown is a zen fascist führer who will send the suede denim police to take away my uncool niece. And my inclination whenever a man and woman compete is to back the woman and find any excuse for her lousy performance. Finally, Whitman's general (very general) references to free market capitalism were just the song I was in the mood for. I even appreciated (without quite converting to) her economic case for the death penalty: that it's cheaper to fry the death row population than to keep them alive.

But I recognized Whitman tonight as a species I got to know all too well during my dotcom days: the dull, untutored powerpointillist with a genius for changing the subject the moment her talking points start to fail. The second time you're using the old Einstein's-definition-of-insanity chestnut in one night is twice too many.

Brown also undermined Whitman's credibility by noting that she cravenly excluded cops and firefighters -- who represent a fourth of the state's total pension liability and are well represented in pension "spiking" and related abuses -- from her plans for pension reform.

While Jerry Brown, like Sen. Barbara Boxer in her debate with Carly Fiorina, waged class warfare against Whitman, he didn't engage in Boxer's vapid and gushy condemnations of outsourcing or try to make an issue of Whitman's wealth. Instead, he described Whitman's contributor base strictly in terms of political quid pro quo. This may or may not have deflected Whitman's very important complaint that Brown is beholden to unions, but it demonstrated his familiarity with the practice of California politics. And in this debate it was Whitman, the career non-voter, who needed to prove her understanding of how government works.

In fact, while it was to be expected that Brown would try to get a few digs in against government employees in this era of Bob Rizzo and the pension buffet, he distanced himself from his union patrons repeatedly, with references to having said no to organized labor several times during his own career. (All of which I'm sure will turn out to be bullshit once somebody checks it out, but still!)

It's not clear whether the remote audience in Claremont (the actual debate was at UC Davis) even registered all that tough-on-unions baloney. My incomplete and informal canvas turned up no private-sector employees and little awareness that California even has a pension crisis that worries both Republicans and Democrats.

I did get a fairly decent level of libertarian recognition, though. One Brown supporter asked if libertarianism is "what Bill Maher is for," while another immediately recognized the "free minds and free markets" slogan as a libtertoid tell and ended our conversation. (Just more support for my campaign to change Reason's slogan to "Arbeit macht frei.")

Except for one query on the candidates' plans to address the state's perpetual water shortage, the questions were uniformly dull, and it was a pretty substanceless debate.

A month ago, if you'd asked me to build a scenario in which one Republican wins a prominent California race and another loses, I'd have picked the hail and well met Whitman as the winner and the weird, offputting Fiorina as the loser. One debate in, I think I might be ready to reverse that.

The Colony Executed

The Colony ExecutedA cons-attack was executed in the army, the settlers work in the boat and escape to face a difficult choice. Look here VidbuxIn a series of related actions Monday, the City Council approved to establish a “zone of the tourist season” includes a large colony in acres in the center 184, and the division of this development and tourism centers resort and settle a lawsuit brought by a citizens group in 2007 based on the authorization challenge the developers of this project.

The story is largely in the establishment of the colony from the perspective of a man who is the outdoor experience. Lindstrom is an evaluator of the environment and is maintained after the approval of the planet. The settlers formed for this and have a team. Having problems with technology and the external environment, and sometimes with themselves. This part is pretty fun and can be enough for a book but more about the planet. There are guards and stopped there to protect the environment, the change from the outside.

History is a great YA fiction but I had some problems with the current of history. Some of these twists and turns seemed to lack the foundation of success. When at its best, reminds me of Allen Stross Coyote novels, but it is uneven and abrupt end in the middle of “conflict” with the aliens left me unsatisfied and without closure found many interesting characters and could begin the following aa a little, but suffered much more than half a pound regards many books there is no indication that this book is the first in a series. Vamos! What is the difficulty of writing “the first book in a series” or “new series”? What kind of negotiation is this? (No offense to the merchants of horses is a manner of speaking.

It's weekend once again and another awesome night of juicy UFC goodness is impending. For those who have been following PRIDE and K-1, specially to the fans of Mark Hunt, this is the night that all of us have been waiting for! Mark Hunt is now part of the Ultimate Fighting Championship!

Mark Hunt will face Sean McCorkle on the preliminary card of UFC 119. If you're not a Mark Hunt fan, then you're not interested about this news.

As we all know since last month, UFC 119 will feature a bloody battle between two famous Heavyweights, Frank Mir and Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipović. This is a big night for Cro Cop and Mir fans.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is suppose to be facing Frank Mir this Saturday, too bad he's injured and he needed a surgery. Good thing Cro Cop is ready for the challenge to face Frank Mir in the main Heavyweight bout this Saturday night. I predict that Frank Mir will be victorious against Cro Cop but I'm not that sure. Still, I place my bets on Frank Mir.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, the injured's twin is present in the UFC 119 main event and will face Ryan Bader, the undefeated Light Heavyweight UFC fighter. I predict that Bader will remain undefeated and I'm pretty sure of it. Nogueira is well prepared for this match, but he's not good enough for Bader.

UFC 119 will also feature a Welterweight bout between Matt Serra and Chris Lytle. This fight card has an obvious winner and it's Chris Lytle. Chris Lytle is a tough opponent and Matt Serra will surely be defeated by Chris Lytle.

Two Lightweight bouts will also be featured in UFC 119's main card. I'm not familiar with these Lightweight fighters and I can't predict who will win. I'll leave it to you guys. Sean Sherk vs. Evan Dunham and Melvin Guillard vs. Jeremy Stephens are the Lightweight bouts that will happen in the 119th Ultimate Fighting Championship.

UFC 119 is the first UFC event that will be hosted in Indiana. UFC 119 main event will be broadcasted live from Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. The live stream will start at exactly 10:00 PM ET and 7:00 PM PT.

Missouri Football And Next Game Schedule

He took the two San Diego State defender in every other. But Missouri finally made her one of the big game.

Trailing 24-20 about a minute left in the game, defender Blaine Gabbert found wide receiver TJ Moe in a trilateral format. Aztec tacklers converged to stop playing for a 5-yard gain, but a quick stutter on Mo and block the receiver Jerrell Jackson has sent 2 dives in one another.

As they struggled, Moe was not there. Sophomore put Missouri up 27-24 with a 68-yard touchdown and the Tigers’ defense stopped SDSU on his drive.

“We were a little out of sync most of the game,” said Moe. “But we finally hit the one there in the end.”

Missouri controlled the game until the middle of the fourth quarter. Towed 20.14 about 11 minutes left in the game, SDSU was supported by its 7-yard line.

Her drive looked hopeless.

Just Aztec running back Ronnie Hillman on his second down run up the middle. Freshman was arrested on the line for what seems, no gain, he disappeared into a pile, but he does not fall apart.

About half a moment later and Hillman appeared in the open field, racing to the end zone. Missouri defensive back Kevin Rutland chased him down at the 20-yard line tigers “, but he could not make a shoestring decide.

Hillman completed the 93-yard touchdown run and gave SDSU its first lead at 21-20 games.

On the next drive Gabbert led tigers in Aztec territory, but threw the interception on third and 17 from the 41-yard line.

Missouri held the Aztecs to the ball on the next drive, resulting in score 24-20 with 1:58 left.

Take 2 for Gabbert? Same result.

He picked up again, this time a 37-yard line of Missouri, but the Tigers defense came on the field and forced the San Diego 3-and-out, creating a winner Mo.

“They never bent,” Missouri coach Gary Pinkel said of his players. “They just all assume that they have not had a chance. The defense of our opportunity to have a chance to win.”

As lightning flashed in all directions above the Stadium for most of the game, which Missouri did on the field is pretty boring.

Tigers finished the game with 440 yards of offense, but only 5 of 16 on third down conversions and turned the ball three times.

“When you’re not playing well and you win the game, there are things to learn,” said Pinkel.

In the first half, Missouri was in the end zone on first and final drives. What happened between them is not so good.

Gabbert led Tigers to methodical and efficient opening drive. They went 80 yards in 9 plays, and Associate Tailback De’Vion Moore capped it with a 17-yard touchdown run.

Aztecs corresponds Missouri with 78-Yard Drive own, but they were unable to reach the end zone again until their final possession of the half.

Ball Grant Ressel gave Missouri 10-7 lead at the end of the first quarter, and made it 17-7 with Gabbert 11-yard touchdown run with a minute remaining in the half.

But before Missouri can go to the locker room from the time Hillman broke a 75-yard touchdown.

Missouri opened its lead from a slightly different view of Russell in the third quarter, bringing the score 20-7. The Aztecs did not score again until the fourth quarter, when Hillman broke a 93-yard run.
