Pakistan drone attacks kill '13 militants'

Two separate attacks carried out by unmanned aircraft killed at least 13 suspected militants in northwest Pakistan, officials said.




Missiles struck one hour apart near the town of Miran Shah in the tribal region of North Waziristan on Sunday



Illegality of the area a haven for Taliban and Al Qaeda members, U.S. drones attacked repeatedly.



Over 70 Gul attacks killed over 200 people in North and South Waziristan since the beginning of 2010.



In the first attack, officials say, rockets hit the house and car of Ghulam Khan, in the north of Miran Shah, capital of North Waziristan. Nine militants were killed.



The second attack occurred about an hour when the missiles hit the car in the nearby town of help helmin Dutta, killing at least four suspected militants, officials said.



Pakistan has publicly criticized the drone attacks, saying the fuel support for the militants. But observers say the officials are privately condemn the strike.



U.S. Army and CIA are not generally confirmed that launched operations unmanned, but analysts say U.S. troops deployed only these aircraft in the region.
